Usually, when you do rows, chances are you will get inertia into the movement, robbing yourself of tension on the muscle. This variation will eliminate that and grant the upper and lower back a great deal of work.
execution
- 1Set up the bench to a 45-degree angle and lie face down with the dumbbells in your arms
- 2With palms facing one another at the bottom, row both dumbbells up
- 3Contract the back up top, then go back down slowly to maintain the tension
- 4Repeat the movement pattern
