The pistol squat is a perfect test for leg strength and not only that - It will help you develop that physical quality. This movement primarily targets the quadriceps and secondarily, the hamstrings and glutes.

    Stand on one foot and find your balance point
  2. 2
    Hold on to something if you do not have enough balance/strength
  3. 3
    Squat down, letting the opposite leg go forward
  4. 4
    Push back up through the middle portion & heel
  5. 5
    Repeat
  6. 6
    Once you are done with one side, do the same on the other
